In the recently concluded 16th Annual General Meeting of the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW) held at Granville, NSW , Mr Ruben Amores (in red shirt) was elected president for 2007. Prior to his election, Mr Amores was the immediate vice-president (external) of PCC-NSW.
Other officers who ran unopposed
after its respective nominees withdrew their nominations
except that of treasurer and subsequently declared winners by the chair of
the election committe were as follows: Mr Rey Manoto as Vice-President (External); Mr Niel Galang, Vice-President (Internal); Dr. Elsa
Collado, Secretary; Mr Rufino Alegrid, Treasurer (the lone nominee); Mr
Max Lopez, Auditor and Ms Violi Calvert as PRO.
On the other hand, election of the seven members of the Board of
Director was conducted. All seven nominees who were listed under the line-up of Mr Amores were declared
winners: Ms. Evelyn Beed, Mr Robert Bock, Dr. Alexis
Leones, Ms. Marivic Manalo, Mr Mick Miguel, Ms Joan Palenzuela-Marks
and Dr Agnes Nethercott.
President Shane A headed the APO Australia Inc contingent together with VP-External Ronaldo V, VP-Internal Bernie M, Auditor Gerry M, Bro Raul M., Bro Arturo S, Bro Carlo B. and Sis Nelia S. Likewise, YILFS-Australia was represented by its three awardees Precy A, Josie M. and Cesar B.
