APO Australia Inc Meets APO Victoria President
27jan07_26a.jpgIn an occasion considered significant, APO Australia Inc c/o President Shane Almonte met face to face and warmly received the newly elected President of APO Victoria Brother Alistair Garcellano at Doonside, Blacktown City, NSW on 27 January 2007. The occasions were the first fellowship of APO Australia Inc in 2007, Post-Australia Day celebration and birthday gathering of YILFS-Awardee and First Lady Precy A.

 

Both APO presidents update each other on the affairs of their respective association in the presence of the members of Alpha Phi Omega Australia Inc. Project Officer of Gawad Kalinga Project and Auditor Gerry M also briefed Bro Alistair on the APO Australia Village Project in the Philippines.

Bro Alistair proposed that both association meet together and play games which APO Australia Inc readily accepted. Exact place and date will have to be mutually agreed.27jan07_27a.jpg

It is expected that a more stronger and collaborative relationships is forthcoming which is a good news for APO Australia Team.

APO Australia Inc Meets Brother Brig. Gen. Joel Cabides

APO Australia Inc met Brother Brig. Gen. Joel Joseph Cabides, of the Armed Forces of the Philippines during its January 2007 Fellowship at Doonside, NSW. He is in town for family-related reasons. He is currently the Assistant Division Commander, 6th Division, Philippine Army stationed at the Province of Sharif-Kabunsuan, Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).27jan07_04a.jpg

Sharif-Kabunsuan is a new province carved-out from Maguindanao comprising of ten towns. It is named after an Arab-Malay Islamic preacher who brought Islam to Central Mindanao in 14th century.

2006 Librado Ureta Awardee Brother Russel and Sister Jojie F introduced Bro Joel to APO Australia community.
